Amer & Young recommend mediated resolution of disputes whenever possible, but know how to navigate the minefield of court procedure when litigation is necessary.

We believe that you gain the most by negotiating from a position of strength, whether crafting a contract to govern an on-going relationship, such as a business or marital agreement or seeking to settle a dispute that may lead to litigation.  This proactive stance may include acting quickly to preserve lien or bond claims rights, or filing suit before statutes of limitation expire.  Sometimes clients simply need to know what their legal rights are and what the realities of the legal landscape are before being able to engage in a reasonable, but firm, dialogue with other parties.  Thus arose the “legal empowerment through informed choices” philosophy of our firm.

Amer & Young, PLLC operates on the premise our clients are in the driver’s seat. We take direction from our clients every step of the way, whether it be in constructing a contractual agreement or a litigation strategy. In a sense, we co-counsel with our clients throughout the process. Our approach is firmly rooted in our ethical duties to our clients.

Value Billing:

Amer & Young, PLLC does not charge for every fax, every long-distance charge, every postage stamp. All services that are performed in-house are covered by the hourly or flat fee you contract for. We bill only those costs that arise from third-party charges to the client, such as court reporter fees, outside copy service fees, certified mailing fees, and service of process fees.  In addition, we do not add any mark-up, handling or processing charges to those costs.
